I have got a PDA. Is it possible to navigate with ROAD2005?
Answer: Is the PDA a Garmin product? If the PDA is a iQue 3600 (Palm OS), or iQue 3200, or a iQue M5 (Pocket PC) from Garmin, it is certainly operational with ROAD 2005.
Question: I have a PDA, which is not Garmin mark. It runs Windows Mobile (Pocket PC). Is it operational with ROAD 2005?
Answer: If you use a Garmin GPS in connection with your PDA, then ROAD 2005 will operate on your PDA.
At present, there are a couple of solutions:
a. GPS 10 with Bluetooth interface. It will be operational on the PDA with Bluetooth interface. There are two variants: simple and with deluxe (with the European maps included);
b. cfQue 1620 with Compact Flash interface. It will be operational on the PDA with Compact Flash interface. There are two variants: simple and deluxe (with the European maps included);
Note: In both variants, the Deluxe versions are worth, as the user receives included in the package at low cost, Europe City Select v7, that otherwise is worth >300 $.
Note: In both cases, it is necessary a more complex procedure for that! The good part is that we know how it operated and the concerned persons will not remain without maps!
c. any Garmin GPS with Unit ID (so anyone but the series Geko, etrex Euro, GPS III, in general the older models) and connected by cable to PDA (serial, USB). In this case, it should operate, but the truth is we have not had such configuration to test it so far…
Question: I have a PDA, not Garmin iQue 3200/3600, running Palm OS. IS there any chance to install ROAD 2005?
Answer: We haven’t tried it so far. Please contact us if you’ve got such device available for tests.
Question: I have a PDA with Pocket PC, but the GPS is not Garmin. Will the navigation operate with ROAD 2005?
Answer: NO! Neither with ROAD 2005, nor any other product MapSource compatible!
Question: I have a PDA running Symbian. If I add a GPS10 on the Bluetooth interface, for instance, can the navigation be operational with ROAD 2005?
Answer: For the moment, it cannot, but Garmin is going to carry pot the client’s porting Que also on Symbian platforms. So, we shall have soon navigation with the Romanian maps on platforms as Nokia Communicator and other similar to OS Symbian
