RQA, a Garmin technology dealer in Romania, has the pleasure to announce the availability of the new edition of the Digital Atlas of Romania v15.30, RO.A.D.2024.10.
Continuing in the well known tradition for the Romanian Garmin customers, the Digital Atlas of Romania holds on to the number one place in the GPS road navigation map charts by bringing an extra 1,424.46 km of roads up to a grand total of 476,251.23 km and the number of POIs raises in this edition to a staggering 1,015,053 points divided into 538 categories.
RO.A.D.2024.10 is the only GPS navigation map in the world that combines topographic details with a routable road network – including dirt roads and trails – with postal addresses of unequaled precision, towns with extruded 3D blocks of flats and detailed 3D textured models for both old patrimony buildings and new skyscrapers, true landmarks of today’s urban space. Map updates are constant and consistent from one edition to another and are documented in the Map Diaries, where all the contributions and their respective authors are mentioned together with the names of the cities and the map tiles that have changed.
Compared with common maps on the market, the Digital Atlas of Romania has an unequaled level of detail, coverage and actuality, featuring the underground passages from Emanoil Gojdu Market from Oradea, the A0 motorway segment between DN5 and DN4, the DEx16 expressway link between Oradea & A3 and the VO66B Ring of Târgu Jiu.
The new multimodal terminal & the E.B. terminal from Oradea, the tramway marshalling yard from Bucureştii Noi, the Business Park from Cluj-Napoca, the marshalling yard of the train station and coal thermocentral from Işalniţa, the Emag 2 depo from Bâcuand the detailed acces to UPU Suceava were mapped.
Detailed acces to the retail stores: Mega Image Ion Bogdan from Oradea, Lidl şi Leroy-Merlin from Târgovişte, Profi City Valea Doftanei, Lidl Bulevardul Lacul Tei & Kaufland Drumul Osiei from Bucureşti, Lidl, Profi & Pepco from Dumbrăviţa, Penny Market Corabia, Pepco Bulevardul Oltenia from Craiova, Lidl Independenţei from Botoşani, Kaufland Vasile Lucaciu 163 from Baia Mare, Lidl Griviţei & Penny Aluminiului from Braşov as well as the Argeş Mall from Piteşti have been introduced. New oneway streets and speed restrictions have been added together with 38 (thirtyeight) new roundabouts.
History aficionados will discover in this edition in premiere the detailed elements (walls) of the Roman towers from Cormeniş-Râpa Malului 1 & 2, Negreni-Dealul Hoancelor, Rogna-La Bontaua 1 & 2, Valea Leşului-Piciorul Andreichii 2, Ileanda-Dealul Ciuha & La Căsoi, the detailed elements (ditches, ramparts, walls, trenches and points) of probably late medieval or premodern fortifications at Haţeg. The possible location of the Roman castrum from Hăţăgel-Grădiştioara has been revised. The detailed elements (ramparts, ditch, wall) of the medieval tower from Răchitova have been revised. Various other heroes’ comemorative monuments from the two world wars have been mapped as well.
